In March, Buck and Heissmann Consultants (our European partner) hosted the first of a series of seminars on Leading Global Remuneration Practices. More than 75 attendees with responsibility for global compensation and retirement plans joined us in New York. The session was co-hosted by the National Foreign Trade Council.

The seminar's 14 speakers included consultants from Buck and Heissmann Consultants' offices around the world. The topics addressed included global compensation and retirement plan issues, EU pension funding and pan-European financial reporting issues, and country-specific benefit and retirement issues affecting six European countries, Canada and Australia. In this special edition of Global View we are pleased to offer summaries of the consultants' presentations.
