Bringing the employee proposition to life
The challenge
An investment bank wanted to differentiate itself from competitors and motive people to support its business plan. The objective was to develop an employer of choice reputation, and convey how ‘soft’ people issues deliver business results.
Our solution
-
Conducted employee focus groups to identify influencers for employee engagement.
-
Setup an employer of choice steering committee, chaired by the joint CEOs of the investment bank, to engage business leaders and consult them on employer of choice initiatives.
-
The employee proposition was appropriately branded to promote the business as a professional, team-based, high-performance organisation.
-
Initiated a campaign to engage people in the broader meaning of the employee proposition, and develop greater insight and commitment towards business delivery. This included employee workshops presented by business leaders; a ‘brain food menu’ at the employee café to raise awareness of wellbeing and diversity within the organisation; personalised employee proposition branded statements to illustrate the financial value of employment; an internal job advertisement programme to help develop careers.
The results
The branded employee proposition works as an ongoing programme for the investment bank and is now instrumental in attracting and inducting new talent.
