Practical trustee training course

We recommend our acclaimed one-day Practical trustee training course for new trustees, or for seasoned trustees looking for a ‘refresher’. New trustees have tight time-frames to acquire the knowledge and are expected to contribute to the work of the trustee board from appointment.

Alternatively, this course would provide a useful education to those who are considering volunteering for trusteeship, to enable them to assess, from a position of knowledge, whether being a trustee is really for them. This may reduce the risk of resignation, and the associated cost of reappointment.

The Practical course gives a grounding in trust principles, legal issues, funding and investment, together with practical tips on how to be an effective member of the trustee team. The practical emphasis runs throughout the day, but is particularly enhanced by the workshops and discussion groups on the most common issues faced by trustees.
