Eddie O'Hara
Managing Director, International
Eddie has accumulated 30 years' experience in the employee benefits field with both insurers and consulting firms; he joined Buck Consultants in 1996 following the acquisition of WF Corroon.
Prior to becoming Managing Director for Europe he was the Practice Leader for the UK Health & Welfare line of business, assisting major UK employers with accounting issues, benefit design alternatives and executing successful healthcare strategies.
His current role includes managerial responsibility for Buck's European, Latin American and Asian-Pacific offices and he is also a member of the Buck Consultants global board of managers.
Mike Roberts
Managing Director, UK
Mike Roberts is based in our London office. In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Director, he manages a small portfolio of national and international clients.
He provides actuarial advice for schemes and in relation to M&A, and also advises on corporate pensions, benefit design and plan mergers/demergers.
Mike is a qualified actuary and has held a Scheme Actuary practising certificate since they were introduced in 1997. He has been a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries since 1994.
He is also a regular presenter at national and international conferences, and leads internal working parties on actuarial valuation methods and pension accounting. In addition, he supports and works closely with our European and US offices.

Edinburgh & Manchester
Fraser Smart, Principal and Senior Consulting Actuary
Fraser is director of the Northern Region of Buck in the UK, with responsibility for the Manchester and Edinburgh offices.
He has 18 years’ experience advising clients on employee benefits with an emphasis in recent years on providing company advice. Earlier experience as an in-house pensions manager has given Fraser a breadth of knowledge in administration, consultancy and investment from a client’s perspective.
Fraser qualified as an actuary in 1999 and gained his Scheme Actuary certificate in 2000.
He has served on the Faculty of Actuaries Council and as a member of the Actuarial Social Policy Board. He is also a regular after dinner speaker on professionalism courses for newly qualified actuaries, and an external assessor for Glasgow Caledonian University’s actuarial course.
Ipswich
Geoff Ashton, Principal and Senior Benefit Consultant
Geoff manages Buck’s Ipswich office in the UK and looks after a portfolio of clients, many of which are household names. He is also a director of Buck Consultants Limited and chairs the Retirement Practice Board in the UK.
Geoff has 33 years’ experience in pensions, all gained within Buck Consultants or WF Corroon, prior to its acquisition by Buck in 1996. He has extensive consultancy experience gained in both London and Ipswich.
Geoff is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and has over ten years’ experience as an OPAS adviser.

Steven White, Head of Pensions & Investment
Steven has over 14 years’ experience in the pensions industry, providing advice on investment strategy, manager selection and investment monitoring. He has extensive experience of economic modelling and has led investment manager research programmes.
Steven joined Buck Consultants in September 2005 to lead the investment consulting team. In July 2007 he was appointed to manage the London Pensions business, adding responsibility for the operation and development of actuarial, benefit consulting and administration to his role. Steven has contributed widely to articles in the financial press and at industry conferences and seminars.
Reading
Adrian Norris, Managing Director of the Health & Welfare practice
Based in Reading, Adrian heads Buck’s Health & Welfare practice, which provides support to clients on all health-related employee benefit issues, together with employer-related health issues that affect the workplace. He is a director on the boards of Buck Consultants Limited and Buck Consultants (Healthcare) Limited.
Adrian’s experience in healthcare began with a four-year management training course with the NHS, followed by several hospital management roles over the next nine years. After a period with BUPA, he made a career move to provide advice to companies. Adrian has now been with Buck for 18 years. His involvement is with all aspects of our development and evolution, and includes responsibility for the acquisition of new business, while managing a portfolio of clients.
He is professionally qualified in hospital management through the Associate of Institute of Health Service Managers.
Adrian is often invited to express his views in the professional press, occasionally speaks at conferences and produces articles on topical health and wellbeing matters.

Actuarial
Martin Rawe, Principal and Senior Consulting Actuary
Martin is based in the Ipswich office and, as Buck’s Chief Actuary, leads our actuarial line of business.
He has worked in the pensions industry for over 20 years, all within Buck Consultants. He is a Scheme Actuary to the pension arrangements of a number of UK and multinational companies, with particular expertise in investment and accounting standards. As Buck’s Chief Actuary, Martin directs the development of systems to perform actuarial valuations and calculations accurately and cost-efficiently. He provides regular support, guidance and ideas to Buck’s actuaries and senior staff.
Martin has a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Physical Oceanography. He has been a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries since 1990.
Martin represents the UK on Buck’s global Professional Standards Committee (PSC), which provides leadership and guidance to ensure that the quality of professional services is of the highest order. Until recently, he was a member of the Standard and Practice Committee of the Pensions Board of the Institute of Actuaries.
He is a regular speaker at Buck's Trustee Training seminars.
Philip Smith, Principal
Philip graduated from the University of Kent in 1985 and spent 14 years in a variety of consulting roles with a national benefits consultancy, including sales and marketing for Friends Provident.
He joined Buck Consultants in January 2001, bringing a wide experience of defined contribution (DC) pension design, as well as expertise in the area of group life, disability and related benefits.
Philip has advised a variety of clients from large multinationals to smaller owner-managed businesses. He has particular expertise in implementing ‘bundled’ DC pension solutions and has extensive knowledge of the major providers’ DC pension products.

Vinny Ehzuvan, Head of Global HR and Technology
Based in London, Vinny is responsible for enhancing the delivery of Buck Consultants’ pension administration, flex and total reward service offerings by leveraging our global technology and scale of resources.
Vinny joined Buck Consultants in 2000 with a proven track record in customer service operations, and process and technology management, from a leading international employee benefits firm. His area of expertise is the reengineering of processes to make them more efficient and streamlined, whilst maintaining a framework of quality and best practice.
Vinny graduated from City University (London) in 1991 with a Degree in Chemistry.
Vinny is a member of the Global Administration Leadership team responsible for coordinating HR outsourcing and technology sales throughout Buck and ACS operations, which span across 100 locations and 60,000 employees.

Vera Dallal, Principal and Senior Consulting Actuary
Vera is based in London and has over 30 years’ experience in corporate pensions with Buck Consultants.
In addition to her role as Scheme Actuary providing actuarial services to trustees of defined benefit (DB) pension plans, Vera advises on the pensions aspects of mergers and acquisitions, on benefit strategy and the process for implementing change. Vera also provides support on UK benefits for our offices in the US and Europe, and has experience in international benefit audits, multinational pooling and benefits for expatriates. She currently manages a portfolio of UK and multinational clients, coordinating all services provided by Buck Consultants.
Vera has been a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries since 1979 and is a member of the Association of Consulting Actuaries.
